Fundamentals of Professional Photography
an All-Day program presented by
Delaware Professional Photographers, Inc.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to add that “little something extra” to your photography business, this All-Day Seminar is the place to be. We’ve lined up an impressive collection of speakers covering all the bases — artistic, technical and Marketing & Advertising.
· |
Want to know more about basic studio posing and lighting? Let our resident expert on studio portraiture, Bill Lattomus, guide you through the artistry and lighting skills you’ll want to master. |
· |
How about designing your photography ads for brochures and other business literature? Ray Colletti does this for his livelihood and he’s willing to share everything — from start to final print, using Photoshop. |
· |
But, how can I make more money at this profession I love, you ask? Barbra Edwards is the person you’ll want to listen to for all the right answers. She’ll walk you through the fundamentals of creating a business plan (and tell you why you absolutely must have one!) She will also talk about price lists and how they fit in. Finally, she’ll give an overview of marketing and advertising fundamentals. |
· |
And to complete our program with a bit of technical assistance, we have Jason Shatzer. He will be covering the fundamentals of camera raw. You’ll see some techniques for tweaking your images that just aren’t possible (or at least are very difficult) using direct JPG output from your camera. In addition to demonstrating how to adjust exposure and tonality values, he will show how to correct for lens problems and make adjustments to your camera’s accuracy. |
So, what’s all this gonna cost me? It must be expensive for all this “must have” information, right? Well no, the whole day will only set you back twenty-five of your hard-earned dollars. Plus, we are including a free lunch in the package. Sorry, the Ginsu knife set is extra!
The All-Day Program will be held at the Dover Sheraton on Tuesday, September 19th. The starting time is
9 am and runs until 5:30 pm. While last minute walk-ins are welcome, we suggest signup by Friday, September 15th. After that, we cannot guarantee you that there will be seating for lunch.
